Kia ora, I am Bonnie Barrow. I am a registered Chinese Medicine practitioner (Acupuncturist) with the Chinese Medicine Council of New Zealand, a member of Acupuncture NZ and hold an active annual practising certificate to practice as an Acupuncturist in New Zealand.
I have been in practice as a licensed Massage and Bodywork therapist since 2006 and as a licensed Acupuncturist since 2017 in the US. I bring a comprehensive yet diverse set of skills that I believe will be valuable to the Nelson community and its surrounding areas.
My approach to acupuncture treatments encompasses the use of both TCM and 5 Element methods, moxibustion, cupping, Gua Sha, and Tui Na (Chinese Massage) depending on what modalities will serve my Patient’s highest good for their optimal wellness and health.
My offerings that I honor during your treatment with me include compassionate listening and understanding, providing a safe space to be vulnerable, giving conscientious assessments and progress-focused treatment while incorporating a variety of techniques and helping my patients increase their awareness of the body and mind to support making positive changes toward their goals of optimal wellness and health.
My intention for my patients is to penetrate their hearts goodness to ignite their deepest reasons for being alive, their nourishment of authenticity.
My hope is for my patients, that together, we can awaken your spirit for lifelong happiness and wellness. I treat a wide variety of conditions from acute and chronic Musculoskeletal injuries and pain, auto-immune conditions, neuropathy, sciatic pain, vertigo, headaches, women’s health issues, and my passion, mental and emotional health conditions.
Outside of my practice, you will find me outdoors exploring nature. I am an avid hiker, kayaker, swimmer, and disc golfer. I have been snowboarding since college when I took a part time snowboarding instructor position. My other hobbies include playing my ukulele, yoga, dance classes, creating art, photography, and when available blowing glass and assisting in a hot shop.
I am honored and grateful for this opportunity to be working with Osteopathy Nelson alongside other compassionate and patient-centered care practitioners. I look forward to co-creating with you towards your goals of optimal wellness and health.
