Comprehensive Knee Pain Treatment

Addressing a Wide Range of Knee Conditions

We specialize in treating knee pain caused by various conditions, including sprains and strains, arthritis, rheumatism, and general knee joint pain. The knee, being a complex joint, is susceptible to issues from sports activities, injuries, and arthritis.

Osteopathic Approach to Knee Health

The health and function of other joints, such as the hips, pelvis, spine, ankles, and feet, can significantly impact the knee. These areas influence our movement patterns and overall body mechanics.

At our practice, we assist patients with both new and chronic injuries, including damage to the cartilage or meniscus, and ligament strains or tears that stabilize the knee. We also address issues in the surrounding muscles, like the hamstrings and quadriceps

To pinpoint the root cause of your knee pain, we begin with a thorough assessment. This includes understanding how the symptoms started, their nature, timing, daily patterns, and factors that aggravate or relieve them. We also evaluate issues with your spine and lower limb joints, overall health, and any past significant events like accidents or surgeries. We observe and assess knee and related joint movements, noting any restrictions or pain, and perform standard Orthopedic and specialized tests to evaluate the nerves, joints, muscles, and ligaments.

After establishing a diagnosis, we explain our findings and discuss how we can help, including any necessary referrals. Our treatment techniques include massage, mobilization, and stretching to enhance joint and muscle flexibility, relieve tension, improve movement mechanics, and promote good circulation for effective recovery. Where appropriate, we use sports taping to provide additional support and stability to the injured area during the healing process. We can refer for x-rays and to musculoskeletal specialist when required.

.Throughout your treatment, we offer guidance on exercises, posture, and lifestyle advice to accelerate recovery and sustain the benefits of our treatments.
